As researchers, we're often tempted to track data that are easy to capture—rather than searching for what we really need to know.
Dr. Todd Nitkin, DPM, FACFAS, MPH, is the Senior Advisor, Design, Monitoring, Evaluation & Research for Health for World Vision International, and is co-chair of the CORE M&E Working Group. He received his master's degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

He has led projects in the planning, execution, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative surveys and assessments for Child Survival programs in Liberia and Uganda, as well as several other projects in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. He has contributed to the CORE/MCHIP guidance documents in the use of LQAS and the RHFA. Todd has also led his organization in the development of a Program Information System to aggregate global program data into an easily accessible database.
