IntraHealth works in Madagascar to improve the health of the Malagasy people, especially women, children, and youth, and those living in rural and underserved areas.
To do so, we focus on health worker quality improvement and capacity building—from private clinic doctors to peer educators and community health workers—to promote healthy behavior and increase access to and use of essential health services offered through a network of Top Réseau private clinics.
We also address gender issues affecting health, including gender inequalities that hinder use of family planning and other health services and a high rate of gender-based violence among women.
