Nurses Lead | Midwives Lead

Join the G4 Alliance, Smile Train, and the Nurses Lead | Midwives Lead campaign partners for an engaging dialogue around investing in education and training for nurses and midwives. Panelists will discuss education and training within their own countries, challenges they face in seeking education and training, what investments are necessary to strengthen their professions, and what ultimately empowers them to lead on the front lines of care.

IntraHealth is a partner on the year-long Nurses Lead | Midwives Lead campaign. Sospeter Ndaba, IntraHealth’s technical manager for in-service training, will discuss what it takes to train nurses in Kenya on long-acting and reversible contraception methods and how the Afya Elimu Fund—a low-interest loan program—has helped thousands of nursing students complete their education.

Ahead of the webinar, join @Smiletrain, @theG4Alliance and @Seed_Global on Monday, August 24 for a Twitter chat about investing in education and training for nurses and midwives. To participate, post your answer to the question "What does investing in education and training for nurses and midwives mean to you?" anytime during the day, along with the hashtags #BackTheFrontline #NursesLead #MidwivesLead. We will discuss your responses during the webinar on Thursday.
