Location:
Virtual
Theme:
Building resilience through hope to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people, and revitalize the United Nations.

IntraHealth International is virtually joining the 76th United Nations General Assembly to highlight the role of health workers in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and in delivering essential services everyone deserves.

COVID-19 has upended health systems and health workforces around the world—and has begun to reverse decades of progress in global health. But even before the pandemic, the world was facing a shortage of 18 million health workers by 2030. COVID-19 is now endangering the lives and health of health workers we can’t afford to lose.

IntraHealth and the Frontline Health Workers Coalition will convene and participate in several virtual side events to advocate for immediate investments and policy changes to support and protect the frontline health workforce, particularly in low- and middle income countries. Please join us for the virtual events below. Registration is required.
