Sorofing Traoré is the president of the Reproductive Health and Family Planning Youth Ambassadors of Mali and the communication lead for the West African Alliance of Youth Ambassadors. She is 22 years old with a master’s degree in Letters. She is originally from Gao in northern Mali. The region has experienced political unrest since 2012, which has increased the vulnerability of women and girls to unwanted pregnancies, HIV, and sexually transmitted infections. This drives her passion for reproductive health.
