On Monday, IntraHealth International hosted TEDxChapelHill, one of 82 independently organized events worldwide that included live broadcasts of TEDxChange in New York. TEDxChange was co-hosted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and TED to mark the 10th anniversary of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Celebration of health comes to Chapel Hill
The TEDxChapelHill event and 81 other events in 40 countries showed TEDxChange, which marked the 10-year anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations’ goals for developing nations.
Pape Gaye, President and CEO of IntraHealth International, was interviewed by the Financial Express during his trip to the Global Maternal Health Conference in Delhi. The interview, wherein Gaye examines the health workforce shortage in India, is online here.
Boston University’s School of Public Health has selected Carol Karutu, IntraHealth International project director for Southern Sudan, to receive one of its three 2010 Distinguished Alumni Awards. The awards honor alumni recognized by the School of Public Health for their outstanding achievements and for continuing to make contributions to the field of public health.
