Civilian Health in Gaza in Jeopardy from Attacks on Facilities, Ambulances, and Infrastructure

IntraHealth International joins the Safeguarding Health in Conflict coalition in calling on the government of Israel, Hamas, and armed groups to respect humanitarian law and cease targeting health facilities and health workers in their attacks. We call on all groups to ensure that civilians maintain access to much-needed health care.

The World Health Organization reports that of the 32 hospitals in the occupied Palestinian Territory, 11 are damaged and 10 are closed due to the attacks, severely limiting access to care. Over 1,400 Palestinians have been killed during the ongoing conflict and over 8,000 are now injured. The public health situation in the region continues to deteriorate.
