Karah Pedersen

Karah Fazekas Pedersen has more than fifteen years of experience in global nonprofit leadership and management roles leading cross-functional management and learning initiatives.

Most recently, Karah served as the executive director of model dissemination and compliance at Family Connects International to oversee the scaling of an evidence-based child health program. She also oversaw a portfolio of maternal and child health, HIV, family planning, and nutrition global health projects at IntraHealth International.

From 2013 to 2016, Karah led the Youth Program at Ipas, Inc. which greatly expanded Ipas’s youth-centered reproductive health programming and related organizational competencies. She also served as the knowledge services manager at FHI 360 from 2010 to 2013, where she managed internal learning and knowledge exchange projects. Prior to that, she worked in business development, training, research utilization, and service delivery improvement for reproductive health and HIV programs.

Karah is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she completed a master’s degree in public health with a focus on health education. She’s lived in Rajasthan, India, and now calls North Carolina her home.
