Lydia Trupe is a senior associate at ideas42, where she works on applying behavioral science to global health issues.

Most recently, she has worked on projects aimed at optimizing family planning and reproductive health services in Senegal and combating intimate partner violence in India.

She completed her master’s degree in public health at the University of Cape Town, where her research focused on the use of environmental design to prevent community violence. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the George Washington University with a minor in public health, and she has conducted research on a diverse range of topics from stroke risk awareness in Samoa to uptake of breast cancer screening in South Africa.
