IntraHealth’s Work in Ethiopia Lauded

At an Urban Health Extension Program graduation ceremony held in Addis Ababa in March 2010, the Addis Ababa Regional Health Bureau presented IntraHealth International with an award recognizing program support provided by IntraHealth for training in HIV counseling and testing and community prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Regional Health Bureau staff expressed their appreciation of IntraHealth’s technical and financial support, and Dr. Towdros Adhanom, a minister in the Federal Ministry of Health, highlighted the roles non-governmental organizations such as IntraHealth play in Ethiopia’s work to prevent the spread of communicable disease.
