IntraHealth Presents on Human Resources for Health Challenges at Triangle Area Population Society Meeting
Pape Gaye, President and CEO of IntraHealth International, and Barbara Stilwell, Director of Human Resources for Health and Health Systems Strengthening Programs, will present “It Takes a Health Workforce: Meeting the Human Resource Challenges to Achieving the Millennium Development Goals for Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health” at the Triangle Area Population Society (TAPS) fall meeting. TAPS will meet from 5:30-8:30 pm, Thursday, November 5, at the Weathervane restaurant in Chapel Hill, NC, USA. Gaye and Stilwell will focus on the human resources for health challenges in responding to the renewed global commitment to family planning and reproductive health.. Speaking from Gaye’s extensive experience in health care capacity building and Stilwell’s 20-plus years of health worker championing in low-resource environments, they will frame the issues, outline key innovative strategies to addressing the health workforce shortages, and share lessons learned.
