Digital Library Expands Resources
The HRH Global Resource Center—the digital library supported by the IntraHealth-led CapacityPlus project—has expanded to include over 2,500 resources. Devoted to human resources for health issues in developing countries, the Global Resource Center is the largest collection of its kind in the world. New and highlighted resources are featured in the monthly newsletter.
An average of 47,000 users from over 170 countries visit the Global Resource Center each month. A significant percentage of users are located in the 57 countries cited by the World Health Organization as facing a health worker crisis.
A new overview brief provides a quick summary of the Global Resource Center’s features and benefits including personalized librarian support and selected subject guides to introduce important health workforce topics and help users find more information in the Global Resource Center’s collection. Currently, the Global Resource Center is developing eLearning courses and interactive features to help health workers, policy-makers, and practitioners in the field.
