Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, University of Miami Health System and University of Miami School of Medicine

Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Carlos Correcha-Price is Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Prior to this role, he served as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at eMed Digital Healthcare; as US CEO at LLYC, where he headed the agency’s US leadership team; and as General Manager at Edelman Public Relations in Washington, DC, where he specialized in international public affairs and multicultural communications and led the firm’s public affairs efforts for Latin America.

In 2010, Correcha-Price was selected as one of eight executives worldwide to participate in the Edelman Fellows Program, a global initiative to exchange knowledge and best practices by immersing executives in high-growth markets for prolonged periods of time. During his 18-month fellowship assignment in Brazil, he served as interim group head for the public affairs practice; chief of staff to Edelman Brazil's president and CEO; and as project manager for several local and regional initiatives for Samsung Electronics, Monsanto, Mubadala, AES Eletropaulo, GE, BASF, and others.

Correcha-Price has a bachelor's degree in liberal studies with a concentration in public relations and advertising and minor degrees in marketing and political science from the University of Central Florida. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
