Barry Eveland (Chair)

Barry EvelandBarry Eveland recently served as interim president/CEO of North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry (NCCBI), the state's largest business organization. A 39-year veteran of IBM, he managed the company's Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, facility as senior state executive for nine years, before retiring in 2005. He holds an engineering degree from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. His executive portfolio includes supply chain management, information technology, business process reengineering, strategic and financial planning, and general management. He was responsible for IBM's relationships with the community, and he was very active in community affairs, serving in many volunteer positions and on numerous boards. In addition to his NCCBI responsibilities, Eveland is chair of the Governor's Business Council for Fiscal Reform and a director on the board of CT Communications, Inc.
