Barbara Shuey, Senior Financial Analyst

“I am frequently amazed at the enthusiasm and level of commitment I see in the people at IntraHealth,” says Barbara Shuey, senior financial analyst at IntraHealth.

With IntraHealth since 2005, Barbara works on the accounting side of projects in South Africa, Southern Sudan, and Ethiopia. Barbara is responsible for reviewing the monthly financial reports prepared by the field offices in these countries and making sure they are accurate and compliant with IntraHealth’s policies.

 “I’ve really liked the opportunity to work with so many different people from different cultures and to be able to offer them whatever support they need to get their jobs done well. Any time I help someone in the field learn the policies and procedures, I feel good about it.”

IntraHealth has made an impact on Barbara as well, giving her a sense of purpose in her work, which is something she shares with her colleagues. Of them, she says, “There are a lot of genuinely good people that work for IntraHealth because they want to help others. That is a wonderful thing to see.”
