Assessment Of Vasectomy Client Satisfaction Conducted In Rwanda

The IntraHealth-led Capacity Project/Rwanda recently conducted an assessment of vasectomy client satisfaction in the Shyira and Byumba hospitals. Preliminary results indicate a high rate of satisfaction among clients who chose vasectomy as their contraceptive method. A final report is forthcoming. The Capacity Project will use lessons learned to inform recommendations regarding the scale-up of vasectomy services in other districts as requested by the Maternal and Child Health Task Force of the Ministry of Health. In addition to the assessment, Capacity Project staff assisted in the development of a video of client testimonials within the two hospitals. When finalized, the video will be used as a sensitization tool in the communities.
