Our Open Source solutions for global public health can only be improved, and you have an integral part to play in their evolution. There are many ways to contribute.

The IntraHealth Informatics team invites clinical experts, HR specialists, translators, developers and others to donate their skills and experience. We have a number of projects that can benefit from your contributions. Below are some specific ways to get involved in the design and development of Open Source projects for global health in countries around the world. Health Workers

Are you a health worker, manager or leader? Feedback and guidance on system requirements is as important as developer contributions. Send us your ideas on what kinds of software and services would make a difference in your work. Take a look at the systems we are supporting and let us know what features you like, which ones aren’t as useful and which ones make your job easier. We build these systems for you, and we rely on your expertise to design the software. Join our development teams at the links below of find out how to put these systems in place.

Developers

All of IntraHealth’s Open Source projects are hosted on Launchpad. This makes it very easy for everyone to download the source code, read the documentation and understand the current blueprint for development. A list of the current projects and their development pages are below.

IntraHealth is always looking for people who are interested in continuing the development of these projects, whether you will be using the applications, using some of the source for another application or just want to use your skills to help out a very worthy cause.

Non-developers

There are many ways to contribute to IntraHealth’s Open Source projects even if you are not a developer:

Documentation: If you are a strong writer, consider helping write the user documentation for the applications. Good documentation can save people hours of frustration when trying to learn a new application. Your good writing can make the difference for a lot of people around the world. The current documentation, tools and guidelines can be found on each project page.

Translation: Since these projects are used all over the world, accurate translation is essential. Lending a hand to translate these applications to your native language is one of the most useful and appreciated ways of contributing. The translation tools can be found on each project page.

Current IntraHealth Open Source projects
