As a growing organization, IntraHealth International, Inc. continuously seeks talent from the international public health sector. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in state-of-the-art health and family planning/reproductive health strategies and programs, and the ability to lead and manage USAID projects in an international setting. Our continuing recruitment positions include Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party. Positions will most likely be based in the African or Asian region. Position responsibilities include the ability to lead and manage potential USAID-funded community health project in overseas field country office; supervise professional and administrative country staff; manage start-up of the new program and related projects; provide overall leadership, coordination and management support for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the program in collaboration with in-country contacts at the central, regional and district levels. Position requirements include a master's degree in public health or a related discipline; broad-based knowledge of community-based health programs, including family planning programs, maternal and child health and STI/HIV derived from substantial experience in health programs in the region and facility in communicating that knowledge to a diverse audience; seven years' professional public health and/or development experience with at least three of those overseas (for expatriate applicants); management training and experience in general health programs or HIV, gender/family planning/reproductive health; excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including the capacity to prepare and deliver formal presentations on project progress and results (knowledge of local language a plus); proven ability to direct and manage a team with the ability to work with partners, regional office and headquarters office; proven ability to hire and train local staff and consultants; strong computer skills; and willingness to travel at least 25% within country on project activities, with occasional international travel to participate in IntraHealth International or other meetings.
