Rwandan health care workers are learning to use cell phones to enter data on their patients. By replacing the current paper-based data collection system that is slow, complicated and inefficient, IntraHealth’s Informatics Team is making data collection much easier to increase the capabilities of health workers and the impact they have on rural health in Rwanda. The system also allows health management experts to generate reports to monitor the progress of rural communities in meeting health targets individually, across districts, and nationwide.
IntraHealth International is committed to using technology to benefit the people of the developing world and is leading the field in creating highly usable systems engineered to engage, support and strengthen local health organizations and health workers. IntraHealth is proud to make those systems available without prohibitive licensing or upgrade fees. The end result is better resource management and better health care.
